New Features and Fixes

Version 3.1

Version 3.1 released in June 2010 contains the following new/improved features.

Property Approval Updates

Fields added for new Property Approval functionality, which allows a master franchise to approve properties before they are published on their web site. Notifications tab added to agency editor to allow for the entry on an email address which will be used when sending property approval notifications.

Property Pictures increase to 10 per property

With this new version, we are allowing 10 property pictures to be uploaded per property. This will put additional load on the pcAgent server and will cause web uploads to take longer to complete, so this feature is being trialed.

Property Advert Caption

New caption saved with properties that can be used when publishing property on a web page and/or in the Slide Show.

Version 3.0

Version 3.0 released in January 2010 contains the following new/improved features.

Grids

Column Grouping

Grids can now be grouped by dragging a column header to the 'Group By Box' available above each grid.

Column Sorting

All Grid columns can still be sorted in ascending or descending order. In addition, multiple columns can be ordered by holding down the SHIFT key. Main Grid column sort order is persistent (order will be remembered the next time you open pcAgent).

Column Filtering

All Grid columns can now be filtered. This can be accomplished by clicking on a column, then selecting only the values that you wish to see from the filter drop-down list. Filtered field information is displayed below the grid and can be switched on or off. To cancel the filter, click the close button on the filter below the grid. Filters are also persistented for the main grids (filters are remembered for the next time you open pcAgent).

Printing

The three common reports (property listing, user listing and contact listing) are now automatically filtered if you have filters set up on the main screen listings. If you do not want to filter your reports, you will still be able to print the full report as before - a full report can still be obtained by clicking on the file menu and selecting 'print...'.

Editing of Contact Types and Titles

Contact titles (Mr, Mrs, Dr. etc) and types (Buyer, Seller etc) are now editable and available as options on the setup menu. You can now add and modify titles to use when recording contact information. New Contact Types can now also be added, although the existing system ones remain locked to support system operations.

Improved Contact Editor

Improved Contact Editor. You are now able to select an 'area of interest' for each contact that you add to the database. The contact's 'area of interest' is used to determine what information can be captured when editing the contact's requirements (if a buyer or lessee) - there are new property types in the database which separate property sales from property development.

The improved contact requirements is now part of the contact editor and allows you to set up specific requirements according the contacts' interest. These requirements are then used to perform a Buyer Property Match (also a new feature of pcAgent version 3.0)

Buyer Property Match

A new 'Buyer Property Match' tool button is available on the main screen whereby you are now able to match a specific buyer to properties in your database. You are also now able to print separate fact sheets for the matched properties. The search result of the Buyer Property Match can also be tweaked/refined if you wish to provide the prospective buyer with more available options - see the 'Filter Criteria' tab in the Buyer Property Match form.

Property Listing

By right-clicking on a property in the Main Property listing Grid, you are now also able to print a fact sheet directly (previously you would have had to edit the property record first). This new print feature uses the default fact sheet (Multiple fact sheets can now be imported into pcAgent)

Record Sharing/hiding

If you are the person who adds a specific property or contact to the database, you are now also able to decide whether you would like to share this property or contact information with other agents in your agency. To share a property click the �Share this property with other agents in my office� check box on the first page of the property or contact editor.
Note that if do not wish to share any information with other users on your network, you are now able to permanently switch off sharing by using the property sharing and contact sharing switches available in the Options and Preferences screen.

Look and Feel

Look and Feel settings allow you to change the look and feel of the pcAgent screens. The new setting is available in the Options and Preferences screen.

Import Templates and Reports

The import functionality has been reworked in order to make use of a new file format which is solely useable by pcAgent. The new .AGE file comprises a template set (template or report) that can easily be transported to users. Any reports and templates that you order will now arrive in this single file format. Templates and reports, soon to be available on this site, will also be in this new format.

Franchise And Group Id fields help group properties on the internet

For users who belong to a specific franchise and/or group, new id fields are available in the Agency Editor. If you are part of a franchise or group, you will be given Ids to fill in these fields. The ids should not be changed after initial setting.

Mortgageloan advertisement no longer locked in

We realise the importance of doing business with a Mortgage Originator of your choice. In prior versions we were forcing a Mortgageloan advertisement to appear in all Slide Shows. This advertisement could however contradict - or even jeopardise - a relationship between you and your Loan Provider. We therefore no longer force the advertisment to be displayed.
